TWO TEENAGERS WERE ARRESTED FOR KIDNAPPING 8-YEAR-OLD CHILD IN EDO
The Edo state police command have arrested two teenagers, Destiny Osevaru, 13 and 18-year-old Godstime Obioko, over alleged abduction of an eight-year-old child in Uromi area of the state.
It was discovered that the suspects had taken the child to an uncompleted building where they tied her down with intent to demand for ransom from her parents. However, in a statement of the command's spokesperson, SP Kontongs Bello, it was reported that the child was rescued by a good Samaritan who found her tied down in the building, while her captors were away.
The suspect further confessed that they intended to demand for #500,000 from the parents before she was eventually rescued.
