ACTRESS SHAFFY BELLO DISCLOSES HOW SHE SACRIFICED HER FAMILY FOR HER CAREER

Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello speaks on how she sacrificed her husband and kids for her career. She revealed that she had a failed marriage because she left her husband and kids behind in America over 10 years ago in search of a better life for herself in Nigeria. She said: "I came back to Nigeria to spread my wings, I felt like I was pregnant and couldn't have a child , like my wings were sort of closed in, like I was boxed in".

 The actress further discloses that she paid a price of not connecting with her children but she had to make the sacrifice, and not only that, as it got so bad when their father whom she left them with is out there making a living, so they missed the "joint parental touch".

The actress, however, added that she divorced her husband because they both agreed to. According to her, "... he's a good man and father to our children. The distance affected us, long distance relationship was difficult but I knew I wanted this, if I go back it will be too much of a sacrifice, I wouldnt be myself and at some point I will resent him, so I had to focus on what I wanted. I dont regret the decision I took"

When asked how she handles being judged over the decision, the mother of two claims she's not bothered by external judgements as she has judged herself and she cares more about her children and code knit family.

She added that she'd love to give love a chance again.

"Yes I will. I love marriage and marriage at this age for me is gonna be sweet, no babies to nurture just enjoyment" she added
